All Creatures Welcome!

He became experienced working with poultry, exotic birds, large animals, and companion animals. He did an externship at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He got his license for the state of Ohio in 1996. He bought Market North Veterinary Hospital in 2001 and has been the owner ever since. He has a special interest in avian medicine and dermatology cases. He also has an Alpaca farm where he likes to spend his free time and has recently acquired chickens.
Dr. Luis G. Iturriaga II (a.k.a. Dr. Luis) got his bachelor's degree in Zoology and Spanish from Miami University in 2004 and his D.V.M. from Kansas State University in 2010. After graduating, he worked at the Peruvian Soul Alpaca farm and continues working there. He has worked at Market North Veterinary Hospital since 2001 during his summer vacations. He started working part-time as a veterinarian at Market North Veterinary Hospital in 2012. He also works and treats Alpacas at both his farm and other farms. He has a special interest in small animal soft tissue surgery. He enjoys spending time with his dog, family, and friends in his free time.
With a love for all animals, Terra graduated from Brown Mackie College to become a Veterinary Technician. Terra enjoys educating others on pet care and lives with three dogs, two rats, and one cat.
Growing up on a farm, she has always been around all kinds of animals and enjoys them all, from horses to small exotics; animals have always been her passion in life other than the arts.
Erin is one of our Veterinary Technicians who graduated from Kent State University Tuscarawas with an associate degree in Veterinary Technology.
Growing up, she always had a passion for working with animals and an interest in the medical field. She has a growing interest in learning about exotic species and caring for them within the veterinary field.
Outside of the clinic you will find Erin with her two dogs. Either out and about with Emmet or curled on the couch with Biscuit.
My name is Jenna and I am a Veterinary Assistant at Market North Veterinary Hospital. Market North took me in when I was first looking to get experience in the veterinary field and get my path started in this profession. I am currently in school for Veterinary Technician for my associates degree and plan on going for my bachelors degree as soon as I am finished. I became an assistant because of my passion for animals since I was very young. I have also owned a variety of exotic and domesticated animals throughout my life including rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, and rats. I used to raise and breed show quality rabbits and plan on doing this again in my near future as a hobby.
Pam has been working in the veterinary field for over 20 years. When she is not working she enjoys traveling, trivia nights with friends and spending time with her family, particularly her 3 grandchildren!
Cheddar is one of the newer residents at Market North Veterinary Hospital. He enjoys napping on the doctor's couch, basking in the sunlight, eating, and being pet. Cheddar loves to see the patients, from small hamsters to giant dogs, and wants to love all of them. Although he can be a little messy, what three-year-old boy isn't? Cheddar can't smell very well due to a chronic nasal condition, but that doesn't stop him from hearing food being served.
Charlie is the newest addition to the cat pack and just turned one not too long ago. The doctor found Charlie at his farm the day we lost Peanut Butter, and we took it as a sign that he belonged at the clinic. He can be found sunbathing in the middle of the lobby, wrestling with Cheddar, and trying to sneak a bite of food from anyone who will let him. He hasn't yet learned that Jelly and Brain do not want to play as rough as he likes to.
Jelly was abandoned at our hospital years ago with her six kittens, and since then, she has made the hospital her new home. She loves to secretly watch our clients peeking around the corners with interest but quickly runs to hide when approached. She loves to play with her toys and scratch her nails on her post. She is the leader of the "Shark Pack". She can be found hiding in boxes left unattended or being groomed by Cheddar.
Michael is a new addition to the Market North family. He has moved in with Sunshine and they are getting along great. Michael might even teach Sunshine how to moonwalk!
Rocky is our Sulcata tortoise who loves strawberries in the morning and spending his afternoons outside in the sun. He is best at hide and seek inside the clinic and always finds the darkest corner.
Sunshine was found flying around outside years ago and brought to the clinic to be seen. Since then, he has lived in the lap of luxury. He is roughly 22 years old and has the attitude to prove it. Although he loves to sing to and with people, fingers are his favorite thing to bite, even if you feed him. Sunshine spends his days watching over everything in the clinic and making sure people are doing their job properly.
